She was always upbeat and positive and had a big smile. My mother isn?t very social but was very comfortable and encouraged around Barb. Barb looked after her. She will be missed in a big way. Barbara L. Kennedy Marten, age 70, of Ames, Iowa, died Friday, October 23, 2020, at Accura Healthcare of Ames.

Born June 8, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia, Barbara Lathell Marten was the daughter of Archie and Barbara (Seagrobes) Kennedy. She was united in marriage to George Bruce Marten.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Tamera Pickens of Overland Park, KS; and a sister, Ronnie Kennedy of Fitzgerald, GA.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Barbara and her family.
