Jack W. Miller Jr., 73 of Marshalltown, IA passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, with his wife by his side. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. The family requests that masks be worn for the service. Jack was born January 25, 1947 to Jack and Evelyn (Lengkeek) Miller Sr. in Belle Plaine, IA. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1965. Jack served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and received a Bronze Star. He attended UNI and MCC where he met his future wife. Jack was united in marriage to Julie Byrd on February 17, 1968 in Marshalltown. He was employed with Iowa Wholesale in Marshalltown as a salesperson. Jack enjoyed golf and was a member of the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and classic cars.
Jack will be missed by his wife, Julie, two sons; Brett Miller of Marshalltown, Ryan (Jacki) Miller of Marshalltown, three grandchildren; Seth Miller, Marissa Miller, Tanner Uhde, two brothers; Dan (Jan) Miller of Lenexa, KS and Bill (Mary) Miller of Muskego, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
