Diane M. Bauernfeind
September 12, 1938 - October 24, 2020

Diane Marie Bauernfeind, age 82 years, was born to life on September 12, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. She was the daughter of Rodney and Evelyn (Kraemer) Marx. Diane passed suddenly to her eternal home on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Diane was a tenderhearted mother who loved her daughters and God. For the last 5 years, Diane lived with her daughter, Cori, after the passing of Cori's husband. She loved the lake views from the home and was especially attached to Cori's cat, Dandelion Rose.

Diane taught Sunday school at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Milwaukee for several years with her daughter Ami and looked forward to her card club nights with her friends. She never went anywhere without her lipstick. Diane was a long-time employee of Color Corporation of America where she worked as an administrative assistant. She also worked at Marquette University.

Diane was the beloved mother of Cori Balasch, and Ami Bauernfeind. She was blessed with one very special granddaughter, Nicole Bauer, who was dearly loved by her grandma. Diane is further survived by brother James (Kathy) Marx; and many other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rodney and Evelyn; sisters Marilyn Marx Wilkerson and Patricia Fritsch; and son-in-law, Steve Balasch.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM (noon) until 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Parish, W1562 Co Rd B, Eden, WI 53019 (Town of Armstrong) with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1:30 PM. Following mass, please join the family for a celebration of life at Dundee's Roadhouse, N3086 State Road 67, Campbellsport, WI 53010 (Town of Dundee).

Diane will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her!

"For my mom who gave up her life for her family. I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for teaching me about God who is the source of my strength. You are finally healed, in peace, no more tears and loved unconditionally. Even at the end of your life you were still taking care of your family. Thank you for heart to always sacrifice for others above yourself. Mom he is real and loving you better than anyone. I am sorry you didnt get to see the new church but you will with Jesus. I love you mom and will miss you everyday. Nicki was your blessing and you were hers. You will always be in our hearts and missed everyday! I love you mom!"
