Francis Ronald Elmo
October 7, 1954 - October 24, 2020

F. Ronald Elmo, age 66, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home in Worcester, PA.

Born in Conshohocken, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (nee Piacitelli) Elmo.

Ron was a 1972 graduate of Wissahickon High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Temple University. He began his career in the Firefighting industry, working for Hale Pump and Angus Hose. In 1986, he became an owner of Guardian Fire Equipment, and ultimately First Choice Fire Apparatus, selling E-One firetrucks.

Ron has been involved with firefighting from the age of 16 when he became a junior fireman with Centre Square Fire Company. He was also a member of the Norriton Fire Engine Company and Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, as well as an instructor for the Montgomery County Fire School. Ron enjoyed woodworking, entertaining, and cooking for his friends and family.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Dorothy "Dot" (nee Linberg) Elmo. He is the dear father of Ronnie Elmo and his wife Melissa, of Philadelphia, and Michael Elmo of Brooklyn. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph "Skip" Elmo in 2006.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002, and on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Saint Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Ron's Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Msgr. Joseph J. Nicolo as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Norristown.
