In loving memory of

John Benavidez
August 8, 1944 - October 25, 2020

John "Johnny" Benavidez was born on August 8, 1944 to Jose and Aurora Benavidez in Marlin, Texas. He married Carolina Martinez on November 21, 1975. John joined the Military Marine Corp at the age of 15 and completed boot camp before they found out his real age. At age 16 he joined the US Air Force until 1973. He then began training at General Motors for car salesman. He retired after 35 years in car sales. Once retired in 2013, he was able to enjoy time with his family and the weekend family dinners. He always wanted to be with his grandkids and sons-in-law who always took him to Home Depot or Harbor Freight. Those were his two favorite places.

John Benavidez went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was greeted above by his parents, Jose and Aurora, and his son, John Joseph Benavidez.

His life will continue to be honored and celebrated by his beautiful wife of 45 years, Carolina; his children: Vincent, Mechelle, Joe and Jackie; his grandkids: Felix, Miranda and husband Bryan, Tiara, Vincent, Jr., Yulissa, Aryanna, Jaqarah and husband Jimmy, Nikolas, Caleb, Geneva, Ezra and Landen; his great-grandkids: Logan, Aaralyn, Isaiah and Alayah; as well as his siblings: Robert, Ralph, Josie, Rebecca, Sylvia, Jo Ann and Diane.
