"I worked with Alex at Samuels Seafood in South Philly and as a matter of fact I trained him on my Brooklyn New York delivery route in the spring of 2015 and I remember him telling me while we were riding together in New York that his sister was a New York Mets fan and Alex was excited to tell his sister that we were driving past Citi Field where the Mets play their home games. Alex was a great guy and a hard worker - Rest In Peace My Friend - David Gardner "

"My heart is broken for my Aunt and cousins, this is a devastating loss. My memories of Alex are of a smiley, happy guy always running and laughing. Alex loved the rope swing in our grandparent's backyard and trying to shoot the basketball into the hoop that was way too tall for him. I loved family get togethers where we all ate way too much and laughed till we were numb in the face. Alex will remain with me as that little boy who laughed when you chased him and never left his sister's side. Alex is with Uncle Al, they will always be in our hearts."

"My dearest loved ones, Remembering Alex is what we will do from today and always. It is searingly painful and feels so unfair to lose such a young man who was loved by so many. I wish I could have been with you today. Maybe to offer some comfort, maybe to give or receive a hug. My heart aches. I hope that Alex is at peace and that you will also find peace with time. I hope there's a heaven where Alex is with his dad, his namesake. With all my love, Phyllis "
