November 7, 1957 - October 22, 2020
Robert H. Callender, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes. He was 62 years old.
Robert was preceded in death by wife, Krystal; mom, Sally; and grandson, Zayden.
He is survived by children: Katrina Callender, Robert Callender, Sabrina (Tim) Mattis, Phil (Kelly) Hunt, and Tom (Rachel) Hunt; he was an awesome grandpa to 12 grandchildren; he is also survived by siblings, Angie (Jamie) Tomasko, Kathy (John) Rogers, and Charlie Noe; other loving family and many friends.
Robert was a veteran of the Marines. He worked for many years as an Executive Chef for the University of Minnesota. Robert was an amazing chef and always hosted family holiday gatherings. He prepared the annual Thanksgiving feast and continued the tradition of baking Christmas cookies.
Grandpa Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was devoted to taking care of them. He was also committed to completing his wife's State bell collection. He was an avid baseball card collector and enjoyed playing softball and golf.
Robert was loved by and will be dearly missed by all.
