Eleanor Hoyt
January 5, 1936 - November 12, 2020

Eleanor Hoyt, of Antigo, died Thursday, November 12, 2020, at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 84 years old. She was born on January 5, 1936, in St. Paul, Minnesota a daughter of Lorenzo and Katherine (Bouder) Berdan. She married Robert Hoyt on July 19, 1958, in Stratham, New Hampshire. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2018.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1953.

Eleanor worked in retail for several years on the east coast before returning to Antigo in 1973 where she worked at Montgomery Wards.

For over 45 years Eleanor was a member and dedicated volunteer at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.

Survivors include three daughters, Kaye "Kit" (David) Brigette, Michigan, Sheila Hoyt, Antigo, Theresa (Adrian) Tomlin, Post Lake; son, Robert Jr. (Jeanne) Hoyt, Scandinavia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat (Jack) Greening, Antigo.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son in infancy; two sisters, Lois Bishop, and Alice Rusch.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
