Bruce M. O'Hern
July 7, 1949 - November 15, 2020

Bruce M. O'Hern, age 71 of Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away on Sunday, November 15th at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday November 21st at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Moorland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Barnum. Masks and social distancing are required. The funeral will be livestreamed on the Laufersweiler Funeral Home Facebook page.
Bruce is survived by his son Shane O'Hern of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Bruce M. Jr. of Forest City and Ashley (Jon) Lawrence of Mason City, IA; sister Beverly Kehoe and sister-in-law Marilyn (Patrick) O'Gara, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded him in death were his parents Harold and Rachel (Harbacheck) O'Hern, brother Bernard O'Hern and brother-in-law Paul Kehoe.
Bruce Michael O'Hern was born on July 7, 1949 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from St. Edmonds High School in Fort Dodge, IA. He attended and graduated from Iowa Central Community College with an associate degree in Meat Processing and earned certification with Industrial Hydraulics. Bruce worked for Fort Dodge Fruit and Grocery and later the Dodger Tap. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.
