Rosemary Ann Meyer, 94 of Marshalltown, IA passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Due to Concerns regarding Covid-19, the family encourages the use of Anderson Funeral Homes livestream to view the service. The link will be able to be accessed off of the Anderson Funeral Homes Facebook page at the time of the service. The family requests everyone to wear a mask to the graveside service. They also request you to wear Iowa Hawkeyes or Chicago Cubs attire. Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice. Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown has been entrusted with the arrangements. Rosemary was born October 31, 1926, to Walter and Murial (Blake ) Humpidge in Chicago, IL. She graduated from South Shore High School in 1944. Rosemary was united in marriage to her best friend Wayne Meyer on June 7, 1947 in Chicago. In 1956 they decided to move from Michigan City, IN to Marshalltown. After raising their two sons, Rosemary worked at Anson Junior High for many years. She was active in Little League Auxiliary, Marshalltown bowling leagues, and attending countless little League Baseball and slow pitch softball games. Rosemary was an avid Hawkeye Sports and Cubs fan. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends while her smile lit up the room.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Don (Vicki) Meyer of Marshalltown, Jeff Meyer of Des Moines, IA; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Powgnas of Norwalk, IA; one sister-in-law, Adele Bell of Vernon, CT; four grandchildren, Allison (Josh) Capalla, Jillian (Brian) Tuttle, Lindsey (Zachary) Harper, Michael (Samantha) Meyer; six great- grandchildren; Blake, Dane, Cael, Lucy, Lona and Lydia. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her parents.

"Don & Jeff, We were saddened to hear that your mother, Rosemary had died. She was a long time co-worker at Anson Junior High with my mother DeLoris. But more important a true friend that kept in touch many years after they retired. I am sure they are now having their time together in heaven. "
