Wanda Schuman
Long Grove, formerly of Glasford - Wanda (Deppermann) Schuman, age 86, a resident of Long Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 12, 1934 in Glasford, IL. She was married to Donald Schuman November 1, 1953 until 1986, They had five children together. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents George and Alma (Slone) Depperman, brothers Roy, Don, Dale and Ralph, her daughter Crystal (Schuman) Knott, her son James and her granddaughter Lindsey (Prawat) Karr. She is survived by her loving children, David (Becky) Schuman, Lori (Tim) Prawat, Carol (Sam) Lucido; her cherished grandchildren, Bobby (Stephanie) Christian, Megan Peterson, Matthew Prawat, Brooke (Dee) Schuman, Shauna Schuman, Amanda (Chris) Conway, Eric (Ashley) Schuman, Cody and Max Smith, Chloe, Sydney and Sophia Lucido; her adored great grandchildren, Kailey Brouillet, Zoey and Charlotte Conway, Aiden Prawat, Hazel Schuman, Jasmine and Jalen Hutchins and Nevaeh Helton, Gaby and Oliver Christian sister in law, Helen Depperman and many nieces and nephews. Wanda was an avid quilter, sewer and baker. Her pies were second to none. She was the matriarch of her family and was the best grandma anyone could have. She truly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 11:00 a.m. where visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Burial will take place immediately following the services at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford.
