Angus Cameron Wilson

Angus C. Wilson A longtime resident of Concord CA. Passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 10th at Judson Park Skilled Nursing Facility in Des Moines, WA. Born on Nov. 3, 1927 to Leah & Cameron Wilson of Vancouver B.C. (West 29th & Dunbar) He was 93, Angus served in the Canadian Merchant Marine (1943 - 1954). Angus always felt that the Canadian government abandoned him when they sold their commercial deep-sea vessels to foreign flag operators, displacing thousands of Merchant Seaman out of employment. Angus then worked for Trans Mountain Pipeline until the Wilson family moved to Concord, CA. in 1963, where Angus worked at various jobs until finding a job in 1975 working on the waterfront as a Stevedore Superintendent. He last worked for Diablo Services. Angus loved sailing on his 32' challenger sailboat the "Knotty Virgin" on the San Francisco Bay. He was a member of Diablo Valley Masonic Lodge #448 and a past member of the Omni Shriners & Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his son Steve, daughter Robyn Parker, step son Dennis Schwitters and grandchildren.

As he wished, there will be no memorial. His ashes will be scattered at sea. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to California Maritime Academy Foundation - 200 Maritime Academy Drive, Vallejo CA. 94590. "In Memory of Angus Cameron Wilson"
