"Mary Elizabeth DeCicco, the Matriarch of the DeCicco family. A nurturer, a people pleaser, strong willed and incredibly caring are just a few words to describe Mary. She was a kind, generous and loving woman who always put her family's needs before her own. Her main goal in life was to be the best wife, mother and grandmother she possibly could be and she was that and more. Mary perfected the role of mother and grandma. She was proud of being a great grandma of 16 and took great joy in their love. She also had the honor and role of being the GREAT-GREAT grandmother of six. ( Emma, Logan, Harleigh, Henry, Emily and Amelia) Mary lived a simple life and could play Bingo with the best of them. She played so many Bingo cards at once that she could take up an entire table. She enjoyed every diner meal, shopping trip, joke, or conversation as long as she was with her family. The perfect day for her was a long car ride ending with coffee from Dunkin Donuts. She was quick with a good joke and we'll always remember her quirky sayings and routines. And who could forget her QVC, Almost everyone with the privilege of knowing her received a gift from QVC at one time or another. If your children think you?re the best mom or dad, if your grandchildren think you?re the best grandma or grandpa, if you are the best in-law ever or your nieces and nephews think you?re the best aunt or uncle.. you probably got that from Mary. If you have a love for animals, enjoy shopping on QVC, a neurotic quirk about cleaning, or you can recite an incredibly funny joke out or no where... again, you probably got that from Mary. Many of the quality traits in her family today are there because Mary showed her family the way Nothing may break our hearts more than living in a world with Mary no longer in it Mary lived an incredibly awe- inspiring 92 years. No matter what the obstacle, she overcame it. No matter what the argument she kept the peace. Our hearts have another hole in it today and we will miss her terribly. We take solace in knowing Mary is now at peace with the Lord where she has been reunited with her loving husband, parents, 2 brothers, a sister and her loving daughter in law. We thank the Lord for allowing us to have Mary in our lives"
