Dale Acuff
Canton -Dale Acuff, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born on September 6, 1952 in Aurora, IL to Donald and Rosemary (Nicks) Acuff.
He married Karen Brunoehler and had two children whom survive, Karissa (Scott) Schlenker, Jenna (Tony Williams) Acuff and two grandchildren, Jared and Samuel Schlenker.
He later married Cheryl Hill on October 5, 1991 in Las Vegas.
Also surviving is his wife Cheryl, brothers, Terry Acuff, Kevin (Sandy) Acuff, two sisters, Joan (Bob) Brey, Kim (Kevin) Reger, father-in-law, Dick Hill, sister-in-law, Brenda (Mark) Postin, brother-in-law, Rick (Carol) Mendenhall and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald.
Dale worked for Hemet Redi Mix in CA and later for the OPCMIA Local #18 Labor Union in Peoria. He was the Co-owner of CJ's Flowers in Canton. He was an avid Cubs, Bears and NASCAR fan. He also was a member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 11 am -noon with a funeral service to follow at noon at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
We will be following CDC Mandates and masks and social distancing will be required along with a limit of the number of people in the building at one time.
Memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care in Peoria.
