"Dad, I will miss your voice the most. One of my fondest memories was when I was 4 and you dedicated a song to me while you DJ'd on an Akron radio station. I was allowed to stay up late that night because you told me you would do it. The song was Don't Go Breaking My Heart. You will live on in the memories of all the people you touched with your kind, thoughtful spirit. Heaven is where we will meet again. Farewell till then."

"John was passionate and sincere with his daily conversations on and off the air. It was his honesty and integrity that persuaded me to host a successful financial radio program on The Patriot for several years with John as my chosen moderator . John believed that people deserved the truth and had a way of delivering his message like only a handful could do. I will always remember John as a man of strong faith and someone who truly made a difference in this world. I?m grateful that John was part of my life?s journey and will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of healing. Rest in Piece John. Your Friend, Roman Batschynsky "

I began listening to him when he was the sidekick on one of the call in handyman shows. I was delighted to know that I had a personal connection to him as he married my beautiful and talented cousin Cindy. Know that my heart breaks for for you and that you and the rest of John's family are in my prayers. Hugs. Liz Natter"

John wrote on Dec 6, 2020:

"I grew up listening to you. I remember you on WJR when I was a kid and then later in life I found you again on the Patriot after I started a family of my own. You were an amazing talker and your ideas were always fresh. You followed the information and didn?t regurgitate talking points. I called in at least once a week. You even used something I said as one of your tag lines in a commercial. The world needs more John?s and I hope to God your watching over us smiling and we will continue what you started. My heart aches for your family and selfishly for myself as I will never be able to have another conversation. Rest easy good sir, thank you for so many years of input. We will miss you. "
