"My sweet nephew, Larry, was part of my life since I was twelve years old. He was the first baby I ever held, the first baby I ever babysat. Years later, Larry babysat our children. Always a special boy, I. watched Larry grow into one of the finest men I ever knew. Along with my husband, we shared countless wonderful times together and Larry was always there when life got rough. Over the last few years, it was my privilege to participate in a singing group with Larry. Larry loved his family, his faith and life itself. Although his physical presence will be sorely missed, I'm certain the gifts he shared, the songs he sang and the memories he left us will live on and inspire everyone who knew him to grow in goodness each day. Sincere condolences to Chris, Larry's devoted wife and to his sons, Larry, Danny and Kevin. We love you all so much and share your grief. "

"We are so very sad to learn this news. Although our paths hadn't crossed in many years, I have such fond memories of him, especially at the annual Easter gathering at Aunt Anna's house. As so many have said before me, he was just such a positive, friendly guy. You could see it in his face and in his actions. Gone far too soon but leaving a wonderful legacy with his family and all of those he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Finnegans and extended McCools gang. Ed & Diane Henkler"

"Larry was a truly great guy; smart, caring and friendly. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him. We first met as co-participants in one of several memorable summer shore house endeavors in Ocean City, NJ and have watched our families grow up over the years since. It is hard to comprehend that he is gone so soon. My sincere condolences to Chris, Larry, Kevin and Daniel and to all of his loved ones and friends."

Jeanmarie Pollock wrote on Dec 7, 2020:

"Larry was my brother in law, husband to my sister Chris, father to three of my nephews and uncle to my son Xander. He was the kind of guy who was able to brighten your day with a smile and a hello. I am heartbroken that whenever we can gather again, he won?t be there with us. If you needed someone to laugh at your jokes? Talk to Larry. If you needed someone to lighten the mood? Talk to Larry. If you needed someone to take a kid to the playground? Talk to Larry. Need an impromptu photographer? Talk to Larry. He was a such a force of strength and positivity in our family. To say ?he will be missed? is an understatement in a time when this type of positivity is at a premium. My condolences to the Finnegan family and to all who loved Larry."

"I?m stunned by this news. I?m so very sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to Christine and Larry's family and extended families. I worked with and worked for Larry for many years. He is a great person who always cares for people around him. We are still connected after his early retirement and sometimes he came over to meet for lunch to catch up the news on people he knew over the years at work. Larry is very active with the Church's activities as he told me " . . . don't schedule our lunch until after Good Friday" when we and others from work should meet with him for lunch. The last time I met with Larry for lunch was with Ed Levinson who retired before Larry at P. J. Houlihan?s in Cherry Hill, NJ. RIP Larry! I know that you will be missed greatly from the people who worked with you over the years. Nghia Nguyen"
