Celia E. Perry
September 14, 1927 - December 9, 2020

Celia E. Perry of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She was 93 years old.

Celia was born September 14, 1927 in Portland, Maine daughter of the late John and Josephine (Anania) Ciccone. She attended Portland High School where she was a drum majorette, graduated in 1945. After high school she attended Secretarial School. On October 27th, 1946 she married Michael "Honey Brown" Perry, at St. Peter's Church in Portland, Maine, her loving husband of 66 years. Michael passed away on August 31st, 2013.

Celia worked for Mount St. Alphonsus for over 25 years in the library department as their inter-library loan officer for the Library of Congress. After she retired, she worked part -time for the Kingston City School District. On her free time, she was a member of a Kingston knitting club. Celia was always full of information and stayed in tune with current events, celebrities, names of the newest bands and songs which always amazed her grandchildren. Travel was one of many loves and one of the highlights of her trip to Italy was a being part of a private audience with Pope John Paul II in 1982.

She is survived by her children, Michael Perry and his wife Brenda of Saugerties, Sharon Daley and her husband Thomas of Saugerties, her grandchildren, Diana Daley Costello & Paul, Tracy Daley, Brittany Perry Hoffstatter & Aaron, Alexa Perry, Colin Arnold, her great grandchildren, Greyson and Ella Daley, and Aubrey and Brayden Hoffstatter, her brother, John Ciccone and his wife Nancy, her niece Karen Ciccone and Karen's son Curtis Babcock of whom she raised, her special niece/caretaker Maureen Riozzi, as well as several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Arnold, her grandson, Anthony Daley, and her siblings, Carmine, Angelo, Joseph, Margaret, Yolanda, Grace, and Theresa.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. A memorial Mass will be held for Celia and her daughter Michele Arnold at 11am on Thursday August 5, 2021 at St. Mary's RC Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.
