Charles McAllister
August 23, 1935 - December 11, 2020

Charles McAllister, 85, of Forked River passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he grew up in Kearny and lived in Lake Hopatcong for many years before moving to Forked River in 2001.

Mr. McAllister was a United States Marine, and later worked as a lineman for New Jersey Bell for over 25 years. He was a member of TCI and ATCA; both groups were for antique telephone enthusiasts.

He was predeceased by his brother James, and his sisters Claire DosSantos and Dorothy Noke. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Yezzi) McAllister; his children, Gene McAllister and his wife Theresa of Stewartsville, Diane Perez and her husband John of Hopatcong, Lynne McAllister of Pompton Plains, and Charles McAllister of East Stroudsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Justine, Melissa, Kenneth, Robert, John Jr. (JJ), Allison, Michael, Kaelyn, Eric, and Jennifer; and his great-grandchildren, Juliette, Jamie, Alexandria, Kalei, Eric, Charlotte, Joshua, and Emelia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2-5pm at Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River. The visitation will conclude with a funeral service and military honors beginning at 4:45pm. Interment will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at 12:30pm at the Brig. Gen W. C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. The family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
