Roy Louis Halter

Roy Louis Halter, 94, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away December 15, 2020, at his home in Dumont, Iowa. He was born August 29, 1926, in Melbourne, Iowa to Lester and Alice (Shenowitz) Halter.

Roy attended schools in Melbourne, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Roy was married to LaVonne F. Morris. He worked as a mechanist and farmer. Roy enjoyed raising miniature horses and tinkering around on the farm.

Roy is survived by his son Kevin (Tamra) Halter of Dumont, grandson Roy Halter of Hampton, grandson Jesse Halter of Hampton, brother Bill Halter of Ackley, and brother Larry Halter of Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and seven brothers and sisters.
