Barbara Ladsten
January 1, 1935 - December 18, 2020

Barbara Jean Ladsten, 85, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Cottagewood Senior Communities.

Barbara was born January 1, 1935 in Rock Dell Twp., MN to John and Edith (Johnson) Boelter. After graduating from high school, Barbara went on to become a chef. She had a passion for cooking, baking and canning. Barbara was always busy either in her kitchen, doing handy work around her home or showing her artistic flair through various crafts that she enjoyed. Barbara also loved to travel, especially taking cruises to Alaska or the Caribbean. She enjoyed playing bingo, poker, keno and going to casinos for fun. Barbara was a loving and caring woman that took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara was also a participant in The Mayo Clinic Aging Study, which was very important to her to help others through research.

Barbara is survived by her children, Deborah (John Marreel) Arneson of Rochester, Melissa (Brian) Brissett of Park Rapids, MN and Vincent Hyde of Stewartville; son-in-law, Jim Soltesz; grandchildren, Chad, Wyatt, Shawn, Ashley, Nicole, Michael and Ricky and 17 great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Anderson; 3 brothers; 3 sisters and by her parents.

The family wishes to thank Seasons Hospice and Cottagewood for the compassionate care that was given to Barbara. Memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice in memory of Barbara.
