Randall L. Durschmidt
March 20, 1930 - December 24, 2020

Randall L. Durschmidt, 90, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28th at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation and time of prayer will be on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Survivors include his daughter Lynn Niemeyer of Fort Dodge, daughter Kristi Durschmidt of Chandler, AZ, daughter Lisa Corrigan of Arvada, CO, 4 grandchildren Katie, Grant, Conner, and Jessau, sister Marnell (Ron) Nordstrom of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Margaret (Manning) Durschmidt, son Mark Durschmidt.
Randall L. Durschmidt was born on March 20, 1930 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1948. Randy continued his education at the University of Iowa where he graduated with his bachelor's in business. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hagans and this union 4 children were born. The couple were later divorced. Randy served in the National Guard for 4 years as part of Unit 109 Med 34th Division. For 43 years Randy worked as a stockbroker for Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc later Morgan Stanley Smith Barney which he retired from in 2012 at the age of 82. He was an honorary lifetime 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish.
Memorials may be left to Holy Trinity Parish and Schools.
