From the first day we met in college, I?ve known her to be one of those rare people who was always totally themselves and, in Suzanne?s case, it was that quality that drew others to her. She was warm, honest, funny, generous with herself and with all she had, and she was a wonderful friend. All were blessed to have known her...and loved her. "My friend, Suzanne, of so many years was easy going, loving and true. She fought her years battling cancer with such grace and strength. She was blessed with the most wonderful, close-knit and supportive family. She had an amazing marriage with her husband, Mike, who was with her every step of the way, along with her three children, and beautiful grandchildren. She spoke of them with such love and pride. Her beautiful spirit will live on through them. I feel such a loss knowing I will no longer have her physical presence in my life, but joy in having known her and sharing so many experiences in this journey called life, supporting eachother through the good and bad times. Praying for the family's healing, comfort and strength during this painful time. Rest in peace, my beautiful friend, Suzanne. All my love, Karen Cannariato"

"My friendship with Suzanne lasted over 50 years. We had fun traveling parts of the Appalachian trail. Backpacking through Europe up to Flam, Norway land of the midnight sun and to Narvik, Norway in the arctic circle. We shared winter ski houses in Hunter with Suzanne?s brothers and friends. We rented beach houses in Block Island with friends. When Suzanne met Mike, I knew they were made for each other. Together they had three beautiful children and now grandchildren. She kept a close relationship with her siblings. Suzanne lived life at its fullest and she will never be forgotten. Her friendship meant so much to me. Nora Burns "
