Florence Bush WILTON #45;- Florence M. Bush, 80, of Muscatine, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Unity Health Systems Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton. The Rev. Clarence Pannier will officiate. Organist will be Jim Batchelor and vocalist will be Ron Allmandinger. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Cheryl Hadaway, Kevin Cruse, Rodney Cruse, Mike Bush, Brett Zindel, Corey Zindel, Jason Lewis, Carrie Lewis, Jamie Bosten, Jeffrey Bosten, and Justin Bosten. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Bentley Funeral Homes in Wilton and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters at the Muscatine Family Y. Mrs. Bush was born on Dec. 26, 1918, the daughter of Phillip and Erna Jipp Smith in Wilton. She married Alfred J. Bush on Aug. 17,1940, in Wilton. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of Our Lutheran Church, a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton. She was a foster parent and she and her husband farmed in the Wilton and Durant area for many years. She loved to garden, work outside, take care of her grandchildren, and play the piano and harmonica. Survivors include three daughters, Karon Lewis and her husband, David, of Durant, Betty Zindel of Durant and Judy Bosten and her husband, Jim, of Muscatine; three sons, Jim Bush of Blue Grass, Richard Bush and his wife, Terri, of Margate, Fla. and John Bush of Lemoore, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Phillip and Erna Smith.
