Marian P. Pemble Edwards
Canton - Marian P. Pemble Edwards, 84, of Canton, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on November 9, 1936, in Canton to Torris and Pearl (McAlister) Roberson. They preceded her in death as well as one sister, Alice Jones. She first married Gerald Pemble on November 22, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Edwards, whom she married on March 12, 2006. Also surviving are five children, Alan (Beth) Pemble of Canton, Wendy Palazzo of Canton, Lilly (Marc) Lockman of Louisiana, Elizabeth (Buddy) Norville of Prairie City, and Gerald (Jenni) Pemble of Fairview, three siblings, Larry Roberson of Farmington, Lorena (Joel) Summers of Peoria, and Jeannie Dangler of Missouri, six step children, Joy (Mike) Fulton of Canton, Dr. Valerie (Jake) Peterson of Canton, Richard "Ray" (Diane) Edwards of Canton, Linda Edwards of Canton, Jeff (Kathy Beck) Edwards of Connecticut, and Kelli (Jack) Furgerson of Canton, ten grandchildren, sixteen step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, twenty step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. Marian was a member of the White Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, singing in church, puzzels, crocheting and playing the organ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 31, 2020, at 12 noon at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Due to COVID - 19 precautions, a facial covering will be required and social distancing will be practiced. No funeral luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be held immediately following the services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
