Gertrude McFadden MUSCATINE - Gertrude Ruth McFadden, 87, of Muscatine, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Crescent Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mathias Church. The Rev. John Gallagher will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 8 pm Friday. Mrs. McFadden was born on Jan. 16, 1912, in Muscatine, the daughter of Clarence B. and Ida Blass Calloway. She married Lyle McFadden. She was a member of St. Mathias Church; Former member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Malachy. Survivors include her one son, Robert McFadden and his wife, Katherine, of Muscatine; one daughter, Judy Durham and her husband, Ernie, of Richmond, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Robert McFadden,and his wife, Dixie, Randy McFadden and his wife, Maureen, Ronald McFadden and his wife, Kindra, Rodney McFadden and his wife, Whitney, Kevin Michael Durham, Mary Jo Conway and her husband, Curt, Lisa Durham and her husband, Bruce Young; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Langford of California and Betty Gross and her husband Art of California. She was preceded in death by one brother.
