Jane Elaine Johnson
June 4, 1943 - December 28, 2020

Jane Elaine Johnson, age 77, of Oronoco, Minnesota, died at her home on Monday, December 28, 2020.

Jane was born on June 4, 1943 to parents Myron and Dorothy (Steward) Meinzer. She moved to rural Dexter, MN at a young age and graduated from Elkton High School. Following graduation, she worked at Rochester Dairy where she met her future husband, Palmer.

On July 19, 1962 Jane and Palmer were united in marriage at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple made their home in Douglas, Minnesota. Together they owned and operated the Bluebird Inn in Douglas in the mid-60s. Jane drove the courtesy car for Holiday Inn and Kahler Corporation for many years until her retirement in 2005. They were members of Bethel Lutheran Church. Palmer passed away on December 7, 2015. She was an inspiration in loving service and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed.

Jane is survived by her children, David (Londa) Johnson of Hayfield, MN, Eric (Beverly) Johnson of Hayfield, MN, Jeffrey (Brenda) Johnson of Andover, MN, Willis (Dalynna) Johnson of Eagan, MN; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Johnson of Eyota, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents Myron and Dorothy; son, Daniel; husband, Palmer; grandson, Adam.

Funeral services for Jane will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Avenue SE, Rochester, MN with no viewing at the church. Visitation will be held 9:00am until 10:30am at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery, Dexter, MN following the funeral. Due to COVID-19 health concerns, masks are required at all services with proper social distancing measures.

The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for assisting in mom's care during the final stage of her illness.
