Robert was born in Abington, PA, the son of Irene (Mosser) Thompson and the late Eugene L. Shreffler. Mr. Shreffler was a 1976 graduate of Wissahickon High School and North Montco Technical Career Center. He was an accomplished business owner who was widely recognized as "Bob The Mac Tools Guy". Robert was also known as Bob, but mainly as Chaos. Robert was an astonishing man who dedicated his life to his wife and three children, he was very family oriented. Bob was a very caring and lovable man who could make you laugh even when you were upset. In his free time Bob enjoyed going out on his boat, camping every summer, and having bonfires. He loved to rebuild anything he could get his hands on, and also loved welding. As a child he started taking lawnmowers apart and rebuilding them which led him into rebuilding car motors. At a very young age he became a truck mechanic and later became a truck driver, driving all over the east coast. Bob enjoyed spending his time Drag racing, skiing, being around friends and family, going to Nascar races, he knew what fun was. After having children he got to show them everything he had accomplished and was able to teach them how to do these things. Robert was the very proud owner of a 1981 Corvette.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Teresa (Mora) Shreffler. He is the devoted father of Robert E. Shreffle,r Jr. and his wife Suzie McGlinchey of Colmar; Michelle M. Shreffler of Ambler; and Nicole C. Guinter and her husband Joseph of Emmaus. Robert is also survived by his sisters, Jeanne Brees (Daniel) and Linda Theisen (George).
