Clara Brewer FAIRPORT - Clara Mae Brewer, 86, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999, at her home in Fairport. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. The Rev. Dennis R. Meador Sr. will officiate. Organist will be Betty Lincoln. Pallbearers will be Mike Estell, Tim Brewer, Dennis Meador Jr., Josh Moon, Bill Warren and Kevin Simons. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following services at the Open Door Baptist Church in Montpelier. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Open Door Baptist Church. Mrs. Brewer was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Andalusia, Ill., the daughter of Joe and Ida Johnson Snider. She married Leonard G. Brewer on Dec. 9, 1930, in Rock Island, Ill. She lived most of her life in the Muscatine area. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church and the Muscatine Moose Lodge. She worked at HON INDUSTRIES for 16 years before retiring. Survivors include two sons, Leonard J. Brewer and his wife, Lois, of Muscatine and Lee J. Brewer and his wife, Sara, of Montpelier; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Joni Raushenberger, of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; one daughter, Gerene; a sister, Florence Carter; a brother, Ernest Snider; and two half-brothers, Fred Snider and Joe Snider.
