Michael Gallagher ATALISSA - Michael Phelps Gallagher, 47, of Urbana, Ohio, formerly of Atalissa, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be at the Overman Cemetery in Atalissa. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Gallagher was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of John and Lorraine Garvin Gallagher. He moved to Atalissa at age one. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Atalissa. He graduated from West Liberty High School and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Wendell, Idaho where he owned Gallaghers Dairy. He moved to Urbana, Ohio in 1996 to make his home. Survivors include his fiancee, Shirley Porter of Urbana, Ohio; his mother, Lorraine Winmill of Wendell, Idaho and his father, John Gallagher of Springfield, Ohio; two brothers, Brian Jay Phelps of Twin Falls, Idaho and Brad Phelps of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sisters, Lorri Longwell of Mount Grove, Mo. and Darla Garrett of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandmother, Dorothy Garvin of Atalissa; stepfather, Vern Winmill of Wendell, Idaho; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ed Garvin.
