Betty D. Nagel
October 11, 1921 - January 1, 2021

Betty D. Nagel, 99, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Callender, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Paula J Baber hospice home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Callender Cemetery, Callender, IA.
Survivors include her son Eric Nagel of Crete, NE, daughter Nancy Nagel of Fort Dodge, son John (Nancy) Nagel of Boone, daughter Gayle (Leo) Jondle of Callender, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. 
  She was preceded in death by her husband Burton Nagel in 2001, parents Charles and Florence (Pittman) Lancaster, sister Lois and grandson Brian Nagel Gross.
  Betty D. Lancaster was born on October 11, 1921 in Lohrville, IA. She was raised and educated there and graduated from Lohrville High School. On June 30, 1942 she was united in marriage to Burton Nagel. The couple established their home on a farm east of Callender where they farmed all their life. The couple enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. Betty enjoyed reading, rock hunting, and knitting. 
  Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
