"My deepest simpathies in your loss. Brent was my pledge brother in Theta Tau. I remember his fun and loving spirit and the joy with which he approached each day. I particularly remember a snowy Iowa football game and the half time snowball fight we had. Find strength in the Lord and your family which includes his brothers in Theta Tau. Sincerely, Jeff Smith"
"My deepest sympathy to Brent's family and so many close friends. Brent and I became brothers while students at The University of Iowa, and I will always cherish the wonderful spirit and enthusiasm he had for life. His memory will endure in my prayers and in those whose hearts he has touched."
"I am shocked and saddened at the news of Brent's passing. I have so many fond memories of Brent at the University of Iowa. We pledged Theta Tau together in 1989 and were both pledge brothers and Theta Tau brothers. Brent's wonderful personality and sense of humor always had all of us smiling, laughing, and feeling at ease. He touched so many lives at University of Iowa and through Theta Tau. Brent will be missed by so many. His family shall be in my prayers."
"I am the current Regent of Theta Tau at the University of Iowa. I did not know Brent personally, but did know that he was involved with Theta Tau and a great person, according to other alumni. Please know that our chapter will be thinking of Brent and his family."
"My deepest sympathy and supportive wishes to Brent's wife and family. I enjoyed knowing Brent in college, through Theta Tau. He was a very positive, fun, and genuinely nice person -- I am very sorry to hear of his passing."
"I happen to be a friend of Brent's from his days in Iowa City. I also happen to be a former resident of Muscatine. It has been approximately six or seven years since I have seen or spoken to Brent. I am at a complete loss for words other than that our loss is God's gain. My sincerest condolences to the entire Brent Weikel family."
"Cathy our prayers are with you at this difficult time."
