DANIEL EUGENE ALMANDINGER
MONTPELIER, Iowa - Daniel 'Danny' E. Almandinger, 67, of Montpelier, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at his home.

A private service will be held. Dr. Harry Schmidt, pastor of Christian Center Church, will officiate the service. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Danny was born on November 11, 1953, in Muscatine, the son of Millard "Roy' and Lillian E. Davis Almandinger. He married Thetra Bettcher and they later divorced.

He worked at Linwood Mining and Mineral for many years as a truck driver. Danny enjoyed fishing.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Robert Almandinger and his wife, Stephanie, of Des Moines, and Katharn Meeks and her husband, Dustin, of Davenport, and their children Delaney and Isla; his mother, Lillian of Montpelier; his siblings, Michael Almandinger and his wife, Randy, of Casa Grande, Arizona, Kathy Peterson and her husband, Paul, of Davenport, Becky Dipple and her husband, Dennis, of Ben Lomand, Arkansas, Susan DeWitt and her husband, Jerry, of Davenport, Sara Brewer and her husband, Lee, of Montpelier, and Leo Bradley Almandinger of Montpelier; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Pat.
