Mary Baugh WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Mary Adele Baugh, 78, of West Liberty died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Crescent Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. The Rev. Al Zimmerman will officiate. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Memorials may be directed to West Liberty Library. Mrs. Baugh was born on Dec. 1, 1921, in Billings, Mont., the daughter of Ralph and Austa Francomb Timmel. She was a 1939 graduate of Billings High School and later graduated from Montana State College in 1943 with a degree in home economics. She married Kenneth Baugh on Aug. 5, 1944, in Quantico, Va. The couple lived in Miles City, Mont., from 1947 until 1964, when they moved to West Liberty. She worked for ACT in Iowa City for several years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of P.E.O., the American Legion Auxiliary and the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard J. Baugh and his wife, Ellen, of Blue Grass and Robert K. Baugh and his wife, Margaret, of Bellevue; one daughter, Patricia Harmon and her husband, Gary, of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren, Jared, Mathew, Laura and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard.
