Ruthann Friss
June 23, 1945 - January 6, 2021

Ruthann (Simpkins) Friss, 75, of Kingston, NY, formerly of Round Top, NY, passed away Wednesday January 6, 2021. She was born June 23, 1945 in Saugerties, NY daughter of the late Stanley and Rosella (Teatsel) Simpkins. She married Kenneth Friss, they wed on November 19, 1966 in Round Top, NY.

Ruth enjoyed traveling and made two trips cross-country. She liked to visit places she had never been to before, but above all, she loved her many trips to Nashville. Her favorite trip to Nashville was when she had the pleasure of meeting Alan Jackson. While in Nashville, she enjoyed walking around the Downtown area and finding new places to eat.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Kenneth Friss of Kingston, her son, Robert Friss of West Hurley, her daughter, Brenda (Michael) Steinhilber of Kingston, her sisters, Claudia (Allen) Powers of Kansas, Lois (Paul) Ferraro of Catskill, her grandchildren, Christopher Steinhilber, Katlyn Friss, and Matthew Friss, her great grandchildren, Asher and Aria Steinhilber, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Rezsynak.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. A graveside service at New Paltz Rural Cemetery will be held later in the year. Memorial donations in Ruthann's name can be made to the Dyson Center for Cancer Care in Poughkeepsie, NY.
