Lucy Anderson TIPTON, Iowa - Lucy Mae Anderson, 88, of Tipton, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. DeLane Wright will officiate. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. Organist will be Sylvia Gould. Vocalists will be Bob and Jan Fulwider. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Service of the Ida Mansfield Kings Daughters will be at 5 p.m. and Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Order of Eastern Star Heart project or Tipton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Anderson was born Dec. 31, 1911, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Bertha Reed Chaney. She married Donald Anderson on Oct. 3, 1929, in Iowa City. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She worked for Saga Food Service at Cornell College in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, U.M.W. and Circle, O.E.S., Evangeline Chapter of Mechanicsville, Mount Zion Community W, Homemakers of Rochester Farm Bureau, Ida Mansfield Kings Daughters, and many cards.
