Robert Buser COLUMBUS CITY, Iowa #45;- Robert G. Buser, 72, of Columbus City, died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Unity Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Buser was born on Aug. 28, 1927, in Conesville, the son of John and Hazel Brent Buser. He married M. Arlene Boulton on Oct. 30, 1950, in Memphis, Mo. He worked at Frank's Foundry Machine Division in Moline, Ill., as a machine operator. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy overseas, and was a member of the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post No. 107. He was a member of the Louisa Historical Society. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing. He was a past Scout master for many years and very proud of his Scouting awards. He is survived by his wife, Arlene of Columbus City; a son, Robert Buser and his wife, Sandy of Colona, Ill.; four daughters, Rachel Buser of Wasilla, Alaska, Myra Nadine Fuller and her husband, Ted, of Columbus Junction, Susan Kallman and her husband, Tom, of Moline, Ill., and Debra Moon and her husband, Bill, of Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Ellen Baker of Winfield and Betty Mason and her husband, Richard, of Lebanon, Mo.; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and three step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Henry and Grant Buser; and two sisters, Lela Warren and Hazel Swabenlander.
