Joseph Klein wrote on Jan 13, 2021:

"I am so, so sorry to hear this news! I have always admired and appreciated Jack's joie de vivre, his kindness, sincerity, and sense of humor. As a fellow North Texan and composer, I should have known him better than I did; and now I regret that I will not have that chance. Heidi and I send our deepest condolences to Heather and her family for their loss, and the comfort that your memories of this beautiful life well-lived will bring you in the future. "
