Edna Ahrens LOWDEN, Iowa #45;- Edna Ahrens, 81, of Lowden, formerly of Davenport, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2000, at Dewitt Community Hospital after a short illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. The Rev. Patrick Bell will officiate. Burial will be at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ahrens was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Rochester, the daughter of Vance and Nellie Buckman Dallege. she married Warren Ahrens on Dec. 18, 1941, in Tipton. Survivors include her husband, Warren; a daughter, Linda Licht of Lowden; a son Ronald Ahrens of Tipton; two sisters, Frances Ahrens of Tipton and Clara Eves and her husband, Eugene of Tipton; two brothers, Harley Dallege of Marion and Darrell Dallege of Rochester; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
