Andrew Yakle WAPELLO, Iowa #45;- Andrew Jarrett 'Bud' Yakle, 64, of Wapello, died Tuesday, Dec, 12, 2000, at his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. The Rev. Bill Moon will officiate. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the benefit of the Wapello Rescue Unit and the Wapello Community Ambulance Service. Mr. Yakel was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Wapello, the son of Daniel McKay and Mabel Odle Yakle. He married Ruth Stafford on Dec. 13, 1958, in Mount Pleasant. He was a graduate of Wapello High School in 1956. He worked for Oscar Meyer at Davenport for a few years, retiring in 1959 because of health reasons. He had attended the former Louisa Center Church near Wapello and in recent years had enjoyed the radio and television ministries. He enjoyed his garden and maintaining his yard. He also enjoyed playing billiards and cards. He faithfully followed and attended the various sports activities of his family. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Ray Yakle of Roswell, Ga., and Jerry Yakle and his wife, Janet, of Wapello; two grandsons, Doug and Jason; one brother, Danny Yakle of Wapello; and six sisters, Kay Wiele of Mount Pleasant, Alene Cutkomp of Wapello, Barbara Hewitt of Morning Sun, Janelle Buster and Beverly Stineman, both of Grandview, and Mackie Krahl of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothea.
