"I have a lot of great memories with Laverne.we had many good conversations .we always laughed a lot especially in Las Vegas. When she came to Chicago she always made sure she saw my mother and our daughter and husband. Family meant a lot to her .I will really miss her."

"My cousin Laverne; Laverne loved people ,open to strangers ,fellow workers, relatives, and friends . Talking sports , food, or finding common ground to interact with people. She wasn?t shy to tell you how she felt. The many long conversations we had over the decades were filled with laughs and some deep thoughts. She would talk to my wife for an hour and a half and then talk to me for an hour and half. Laverne was also our Vegas trip partner on 2-3 trips a year. We always had a fun and hearty laughs . Laverne enjoyed her buffets spending 2 hours at the table .Having to try almost every different entree and 2 trips to the desert section. On occasion I?d set my alarm on my phone and say time to go when it when off. We also saw many shows together comedy and music . She also made a yearly pilgrimage to Chicago area. Every visit had to include dinner with cousin Bob and taking in a Whitesox game with cousin Cammy. We had to see my mother in law and bring beef sandwiches and Laverne had to have Chicago hotdogs. Mother in law loved talking to her.And of course trips to the area casino. She liked to go to the Hard Rock Tampa with her friends Sylvia and Joanne her high school friend .Even made friends with bank teller Terri. Working at Publix was also a big part of her life enjoying her co- workers and proud of her company. Her store mgr Mark told me how she was not shy about expressing her feelings. She was rooted deeply in her faith in God and loved her church and it?s members. We will cherish our Laverne moments together and miss her. She will always be remembered in our hearts. Joe and Carol Tamborski "
