Doris Lundberg DAVENPORT, Iowa #45;- Doris J. Lundberg, 73, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at her home after an extended illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Evangelical Free Church in Moline, Ill. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Ill. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church in Moline and Gideons Living Memorial Bible Plan. Mrs. Lundberg was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Edina, Mo. She married Dale Lundberg April 11, 1948, in East Moline. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Moline for 14 years. She enjoyed playing the organ at the churches she attended. She was a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary, where she served for two 3-year terms as state president. She served three years as Gideons International Auxiliary representative, traveling to several states as guest speaker for the state conventions. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining at dinner parties for family and friends, golf, needlework, and traveling, especially spending her winters near Disney World. Survivors include her husband, Dale; two daughters, Gale Schmidt and her husband, David, of Muscatine and Jill Ritzman and her husband, Jeff, of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren, Tara Schmidt, Ben Schmidt, Emily Ritzman, and Alex Ritzman; and one sister, Frances Lindquist. She was preceded in death by her parents.
