Anna Kral IOWA CITY, Iowa #45;- Anna Marie Kral, 63, of 1630 Prairie DuChien Road in Iowa City, died March 11, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City of leukemia. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Hills. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at George L. Gay Funeral Home in Iowa City with a rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Mrs. Kral was born April 20, 1937, in Iowa City, the son of William Andrew and Agnes Philomena Kasper Maier. She graduated from University High School in Iowa City in 1955. She married Donald M. Kral on May 14, 1960, in Iowa City. He died Aug. 7, 1991. She was a patient services assistant for 19 years at Mercy Hospital, retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City and of the Altar and Rosary Guilds. Survivors include sons, Andy Kral and his wife, Connie, of Muscatine, Tim Kral and his wife, Dawn, of Waldorf, Md., and Cletus and Lee Kral, both of Fargo, N.D.; daughters, Sherry Morsch and her husband, Mike of Royersford, Pa., Barb Ballard and her husband, Joe, of Norway, and Deanna Emerson and her husband, Chad, of Hills; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Agnes Maier of Iowa City; and brothers, John Maier and his wife, Janice and Donald Maier and his wife, Virginia, all of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
