"To The Family Members Of Doug:
I was a 1961 graduating classmate of Doug's and went to school with him the whole 13 years. He was a great classmate and an all-round great guy. We went to church together growing up at Red Oak Presbyterian Church, and his mother, Ruby, played at mine and my husband, Jim's wedding almost 42 years ago. I just want you to know your family has been in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in the days ahead. May God bless you!

You have my deepest sympathy at the loss of Doug. I have such wonderful memories of your whole family from the time I lived and worked in Tipton. May the memories you have of him gradually replace the sorrow you feel today.

"Kerry, my condolences goes out to you and your family. Your family was a very important part of our family lives not to mention the neighborhood. If you remember living in the country your family lived on the farm. I miss Iowa but not the humidity and the real cold weather. Kerry, love to hear from you if you get this email. It's always nice to hear from people back home. Jean"

"To all the Phelps Family:
We were to sorry to hear about Doug. We had many laughs and heard alot of jokes from the days when going out to eat at the Maidrite and both Doug and Ed would joke how it must be the guys night to cook. I also remember seeing your Dad and Mom and thinking what a striking couple they made and how much they cared for each other.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
