Alexandria Salazar MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - Alexandria 'Alex' Salazar, 17, of 402 W. Madison St. in Marshalltown, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, in an automobile accident. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home Chapel and 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. The Rev. Dan Doolin will officiate. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. Miss Salazar was born Jan. 12, 1984, in El Paso Texas, the daughter of Alejandro Lares and Billie Scarlett Salazar. She was engaged to marry Miguel Corona next month. He also died in the accident . She resided in several different communities. She was enrolled in the EXCEL program in Marshalltown. Survivors include her mother, Billie Scarlett Garcia of Marshalltown; her step-father, Ingnacia Garcia of Texas; four sisters, Spring Alvarez of Marshalltown, Priscilla Alvarez Domingez of Muscatine, Salina Salazar Ochoa of Muscatine and Eulia Salazar of Morningside; a brother, Marshall Alvarez of Iowa City; her grandmother, Beverly Spitznogle of Wapello; her nieces, Estacia, Delia, Bianka, and Hanna; nephews, Jasper, Mario, Quincy and Damond; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her fiance, Miguel.
