Marine Robertson DES MOINES, Iowa #45;- Marine K. Robertson of Des Moines, formerly of Columbus Junction, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Wesley Acres Retirement Community in Des Moines. Services are 1 p.m. today at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. The Rev. Michael Biklen will officiate. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Shoultz, Scott Shoultz, Steve Wilson, Mark Shearer, Larry Robertson and Wayne Shoultz. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. Following the burial, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Acres Good Samaritan Fund or the United Methodist Church in Wilton. Mrs. Robertson was born March 16, 1914, in Columbus Junction, the daughter of B.H. and Maude Hanft Shearer. She married H. Max Robertson on July, 22, 1933. She graduated from the Columbus Community High School and attended Iowa Wesleyan College. She and her husband farmed in Letts for 38 years. She was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, MYF leader and member of the Philathea Class. She was a member of Chapter R, T.T.T.; 50-year member of the Emma Beckman Chapter of Eastern Star and Worthy Matron; Louisa County Extension Council and a 4-H leader. She was active in the Louisa County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. In 1973, she and her husband moved to Wilton. She became a member of the Wilton United Methodist Church and Golden Links. She was a long time treasurer of Grace Noll Crowell Book Club. Survivors include sons, Thomas Robertson and his wife, Jean, of Lodi, Calif. and Jon M. Robertson of Coral Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Lynne Shoultz and her husband, David of Johnston; grandchildren, Angela Chambers and her husband, Bill, of Bellingham, Wash., Amy Simas and her husband, Keith, of Castro Valley, Calif., Jeffrey Shoultz and his wife, Kristi, of Ames and Scott Shoultz of Seattle, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Elise Chambers, Abby and Joshua Simas and Jillian Lynne Shoultz; and two brothers, Woodrow and William Shearer, both of Columbus Junction. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Paul Shearer; and her parents.
