Dakota Cromer WAPELLO, Iowa - Dakota James "Cody" Cromer, 8, 14828 124th Ave., Wapello, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Community Bible Church, Grandview. The Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Marillyn Schultz. Pallbearers are Mike Hafner, Eric Cromer, Pat Sanders, Jim Snyder, Tom Barker, Kurt Walker, William Wheeler, Chris Gerdts. Raymond King and Troy Holliday. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today, with family present 6-8 p.m., at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. A memorial fund has been established. Dakota was born May 27, 1994, in Muscatine, the son of Jamie Ray and Michelle "Shelly" Seaba Cromer. He was a student at Louisa-Muscatine Elementary School, ready for the third grade this fall. He was enjoying L-M minor league baseball this summer. He enjoyed flag football, hunting, fishing and camping. He loved the outdoors. His favorite things were to be helping his dad and riding his bike. He was active in the Awana program and Sunday school at Grandview Community Bible Church. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Dylan; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Cherry Cromer of Grandview; maternal grandparents, Cathy and Gary Burden of Morning Sun and Gordan and Becky Seaba of Brighton; maternal great-grandmother, Ardes King of Lawler; three uncles, Eric Cromer of Muscatine, Tom Barker of Morning Sun and Tim Seaba of Brighton; two aunts, Stephanie Barker of Morning Sun and Ashley Seaba of Brighton; and a cousin, Brodie Cromer of Muscatine.
