Riva Brown MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Riva LuAnda Brown, 48, Muscatine, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at her home. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Pat Lumsden will officiate. Pallbearers are Randy Boulton, Doug Boulton, Jeff Monroe, Rick Batchelor, Bill Black and Albert Schultz. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Bierman Jr., Scott Pace, Monte Cury and Rich Batchelor. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine. The Rev. Rob Lathrop will officiate. After the burial, family and friends will gather at Bloomington-Muscatine Friends Church, Highway 38 North, Muscatine. Visitation is after 1 p.m. today, with family present, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to benefit the University of Iowa Cancer Research Center. Mrs. Brown was born on Dec. 23, 1953, in Wapello, the daughter of Carroll and Mary Lucille Shaw Lessenger. She married Keith W. Brown on Jan. 15, 1982, in Muscatine. She worked in the lab at Grain Processing Company and later was a lab technician for the City of Muscatine waster water treatment. More recently she was a cashier at Wilson's True Value, Muscatine. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1972. She attended Muscatine Community College. She was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church, Muscatine. She enjoyed reading and collecting angels. She was a caregiver in her home for her mother for several years. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gabe D. Brown of Iowa City and Chad Stuart of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Kristy Brown at home; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bierman at home; a brother, Arlo Lessenger of Muscatine; and two sisters, Roberta Boulton of Wapello and LaDonna 'Jo' Lessenger of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents.
