Esther Bullard DURANT, Iowa #45;- Esther N. Bullard, 81, Durant, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty. Private family services will be held at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Burial will be at the Durant Cemetery, Durant, at a later date. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Bullard was born on July 1, 1921, in Bentley, La., the daughter of William and Louetta Larance Boyt. She married Robert E. Bullard on March 2, 1942, in Pollock, La. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1999. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Durant. She enjoyed embroidery and her grandchildren. Survivors include six daughters, Juanita Carl and her husband, John, of Harrisonville, Mo., Carolyn Liverzani and her husband, Ray, of Putnam Valley, N.Y., Betty Jean Bullard of Durant, Judy Workman and her husband, Gary, of Durant, Susan Dirksmeier and her husband, Steve, of Marshfield, Mass. and Yvonne Lea Blakesley and her husband, Larry, of Henderson, Colo.; four sons, Chester Bullard and his wife, Lindy, of Raymore, Mo., William Bullard of Lawton, Okla., Richard Bullard and his wife, Wendy, of Durant and John Bullard and his wife, Lisa, of Naperville, Ill.; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two granddaughters, Christina Bullard and Sarah Dirksmeier; and three sisters, Margaret Rayner, Vera 'Bobbie' Taylor and Mary Ferguson.
