Rick Rochau TIPTON, Iowa #45;- Rick Allen Rochau, 46, Tipton, died Friday, March 15, 2003, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, due to complications of cancer. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Tipton. The Revs. DeLane Wright and Eugene Benda will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Sylvia Gould. Pallbearers are Allen Paustian, Jeff Suchomel, Mike Goetz, Doug Davis, Steven Suchomel, Jerry Wiskus and Doug Krob. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Baker and the Remaining White Tail Warriors. Burial will be at Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A memorial has been established. Mr. Rochau was born on July 6, 1956, in Aurora, Colo., the son of Dewayne Allen and Marsha Ann Rose Rochau. He married Kimberly Jo Miller on Oct. 9, 1976, in Tipton. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1974. He owned and operated Rochau Appliance, Tipton. He was a member of the Tipton Golf and Country Club, Tipton Moose Lodge; was past president of Tipton Athletic Boosters; past member of Jaycees, TEDCO, Tipton Chamber; and president of Cedar River Talking Toms. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Rochau of Dubuque and Robert Rochau of Tipton; a sister, Debra Sheldon and her husband, Jeff, of Tipton; his parents, Dewayne and Marsha Rochau of Tipton; a grandmother, Ella Rochau Bartling of Davenport; two nephews, Keith and Craig Lehmeier; a niece, Alyssa Sheldon; mother- and father-in-law, Marvin and Kay Miller of Tipton; a sister-in-law, Shelly Lehmeier and her husband, Ken, of Loveland, Colo.; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Rochau; a grandfather, Ray Rochau; and grandparents, Birt and Geneva Rose.
