Ernest Messinger Sr. MILWAUKEE, Wis. #45;- Ernest Messinger Sr., 83, Milwaukee, died Tuesday, March 26, 2003, at his home. Services are today at the Schaff Funeral Home, West Hallis. He owned and operated the 'Butter Toast', one of Muscatine's most popular restaurants in the 1950's. Survivors include his wife, Catherine; his children, Ernest Jr., Corbin, Debra and Katherine; two sisters, Elsie Weber and Margaret Kent, both of Muscatine; and a brother, Alvin Messinger of Montpelier.
